PANEER PAKORA
Paneer [indian cheese ] pakora [ fritters ] is a very delicious evening snack espcially enjoyed with tea . Easy to make & yummy to eat . Made with gramflour & few spices. Paneer is like TOFU in texture.
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED -
250 GM- PANEER [ INDIAN CHEESE]
200 GM - GRAM FLOUR [ BESAN]
1 tblspn -SALT
1/4 tblspn - TURMERIC POWDER [ HALDI]
1/2 tblspn - RED CHILI POWDER
1 tbspn - AJWAIN [OMAM]
1 tblspn - GARAM MASALA POWDER [WHOLE SPICES POWDER]
1 tbspn - GARLIC PASTE
1 tblspn - KASURI METHI [DRIED FENUGREEK]
1 /4 tblspn - SODA [ BAKING]
METHOD for making batter -
* Take 200 gm of gram flour in a bowl , add in it salt , turmeric powder , red chi,i powder , ajwain [ omam] , garam masala powder [ whole spices powder] , garlic paste , kasuri methi [ dried fenugreek ] , baking soda according to the quantities mentioned above.
* Mix all thesse dry ingredients in the gram flour . After it add 2 cup of water in it & mix the batter in circular motion until it takes the desired consistency which is neither too thick nor too liquid .
* Now heat oil in a pan or kadhai , in the meanwhile cut your paneer [ cheese ] of finger size must be broad . You can cut paneer in various shapes like cubes, rectangle, triangle or in any shape you like.
* your oil must be heated in 5 minutes, now dip your paneer fingers in batter & make sure it would be coated properly & deep fry in oil until it becomes golden brown .
* If you like more crunchy take the paneer fingers out of the pan when it becomes light brown & let it cool down for sometime . After it cool down cut the finger in 2 pieces & deep fry them again for 2 minutes .
