CHICKEN TIKKA [ DAHI - MUKKHAN]
CHICKEN TIKKA IS VERY DELICIOUS DISH TO HAVE IN A PARTY . IT IS FAMOUS ALL OVER THE WORLD . ORIGINATED BASICALLY FROM MUGHALS KITCHEN
& NOW FAMOUS IN ALL OVER THE WORLD .You can have it dry without gravy but i will tell you the recipe of chicken tikka gravy . I am sure thus will flood your mouth .................................................................................
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED-
400 GM - BONELESS CHICKEN [ make small pieces]
1/2 - DRIED FENUGREEK [ kasuri methi]
1/2 teaspoon / to taste - SALT
1 teaspoon - BLACK PEPPER POWDER
1 teaspoon - GARAM MASALA POWDER [ whole spices powder]
1 teaspoon - GREEN CHILI CHUTNEY
1/2 - LEMON
2 tblspn - CREAM
1 tblspn - GINGER - GARLIC PASTE
2 tblspn - PLAIN CURD
INSTRUCTIONS -
*In a bowl take chicken pieces & add to it GINGER - GARLIC PASTE , SALT & LEMON JUICE as per quantity mentioned above . Mix all the ingredients well & let it marinate for 10 MINUTES .
*After 10 minutes add DRIED FENUGREEK , BLACK PEPPER POWDER , GARAM MASALA POWDER , GREEN CHILI CHUTNEY , CREAM , CURD as mentioned above . Mix all the ingredients very well so every piece of chicken is well coated with marination .
*Cover the bowl & leave the chicken for 20 minutes to marinate again .
*Take skewers [ seekh ] & insert the chicken pieces in the skewers . 4-5 piece in one skewers .
* Heat the pan & add 2 tblspn of oil , add your chicken skewer to the pan .
*Let the chicken cook for 5 minutes on high flame , then put a lid on the pan & cook on low flame .
*Turn the chicken skewers from each side after 4 minutes.add your left over marinated masala on the chicken so they must absorb more flavours .
*To give it a smoky flavour put a small bowl in the pan in which chicken is resting , in that bowl put a piece of burnt charcoal & drizzle 2-3 drops of ghee , it will release smoke at the same time put the lid & left it for 10 minutes . your chicken tikka will absorb smokiness .
** Now time to make gravy , take 2 tblspn BUTTER , 1/2 teaspoon PEPPER , 1/2 teaspoon green chili chutney , 200 gm CURD & 2 tblspn - CREAM .
* In a grinder put curd , cream , pepper , salt & green chili chutney & grind them well .
* Melt your butter in a pan ,
* Time to give final touch to your chicken tikka . Take the chicken pieces out from skewers in a bowl add to it the grinded curd , cream , salt , pepper & chutney paste & finally add the melted butter on the top .
YOUR DELICIOUS CHICKEN TIKKA [ DAHI - MAKKHAN ] IS READY TO SERVE HOT WITH TANDOORI NAAN & VEGETABLE SALAD .
